| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 cup oats | 1 cup all-purpose flour | 1 cup sugar |
| 3/4 cup grated coconut | 1/2 cup butter | 1 tablespoon golden syrup |
| 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda | 2 tablespoons boiling water | |
| 1 | Preheat oven to 300 F. Grease and flour 3 cookie sheets. In medium bowl combine oats, flour, sugar and coconut. In small saucepan combine butter and syrup and stir over low heat until melted. Mix baking soda with boiling water and add to melted butter. Stir into dry ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 1 inch apart, onto cookie sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheets. |
