| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 cup chopped onion | 1/4 cup chopped green pepper | 1 T butter |
| 2 lbs ground beef | 1 cup (8-oz can) tomato sauce | 2 eggs, beaten |
| 4 oz cheddar or American cheese, grated | 1 cup soft bread crumbs | 1/4 t thyme |
| 1 t salt | 1/2 t pepper | |
| 1 | Saute onion and green pepper in butter until onion is soft. Remove from heat and mix with other ingredients, blending well. Shape into loaf and place in 10x4" baking pan, or pack into large greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for 1 hour. |
