| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 can hominy No. 2-1/2 | 2 cups water | 1 tsp salt |
| 2 lbs pork | shoulder in chunks; or neck bones; or back bones | 3 tsp ground chilli or 2 large red pods |
| 1 tsp ground oregano | 1/4 tsp garlic powder | 1 small onion, whole |
| 1 tsp saffron | ||
| 1 | Cook the meat until done. Add the hominy and all other ingredients except the oregano and the saffron. Simmer about two hours. Add the oregano and saffron and let simmer 15 minutes. Serve on dry toast with a side dish of cottage cheese. |
