| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 cup butter or margarine, softened | 1 cup sugar | 2 egg yolks |
| 2 cups all-purpose flour | 1 cup finely chopped pecans | 1 teaspoon vanilla extract |

| 1 | Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add egg yolks, beating well. Fold in flour, pecans, and vanilla until mixture forms a dough. |
| 2 | Press half of dough into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Top with apricot preserves, spreading to within 1/4 inch of edges. Press remaining half of dough over preserves. Bake at 350 F. for 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool and cut into squares. |
