Barbecue Meat Loaf

INGREDIENTS:
1 onion, minced 1-1/2 T butter 1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs 1 egg 1/2 cup tomato sauce
1-1/2 t salt 1/4 t pepper BARBECUE SAUCE: 1-1/2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 cup water 2 T vinegar 3 T brown sugar
2 T prepared mustard 2 t Worcestershire sauce



1 Saute onion in butter until soft. Combine with other ingredients and mix well. Form into loaf and place in 10"x14" baking pan. Pour 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce over loaf and bake for 1 hour at 350 F., basting from time to time with the remaining sauce.
2 BARBECUE SAUCE: Combine all ingredients in saucepan and heat until well blended, stirring. Use as detailed above to baste meat loaf.
