| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 onion, minced | 1-1/2 T butter | 1-1/2 lbs ground beef |
| 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs | 1 egg | 1/2 cup tomato sauce |
| 1-1/2 t salt | 1/4 t pepper | BARBECUE SAUCE: 1-1/2 cups tomato sauce |
| 1/2 cup water | 2 T vinegar | 3 T brown sugar |
| 2 T prepared mustard | 2 t Worcestershire sauce | |
| 1 | Saute onion in butter until soft. Combine with other ingredients and mix well. Form into loaf and place in 10"x14" baking pan. Pour 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce over loaf and bake for 1 hour at 350 F., basting from time to time with the remaining sauce. |
| 2 | BARBECUE SAUCE: Combine all ingredients in saucepan and heat until well blended, stirring. Use as detailed above to baste meat loaf. |
