| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 squares unsweetened chocolate | 2-1/4 cups milk | 1/4 cup sugar |
| 3 tablespoons cornstarch | 1/4 teaspoon salt | 1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
| 1 | Put chocolate and 2 cups milk in double boiler over boiling water. Mix sugar, cornstarch, and salt, and when well blended gradually pour on remaining 1/4 cup milk. Add to milk which has been scalded with chocolate and cook 15 minutes, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and afterward occasionally. Flavor and put in a nice glass dish. Chill and serve with sweetened thick cream. |
