| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 cup shortening | 1/2 cup brown sugar | 1/2 cup granulated sugar |
| 1 egg | 1 cup flour | 1/2 teaspoon salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon soda | 1/2 teaspoon baking powder | 1 cup gumdrops, chopped |
| 1 cup rolled oats | 1 cup corn flakes | 1/2 cup grated coconut |
| 1 | Cream shortening and sugar together. |
| 2 | Add egg and beat until fluffy. |
| 3 | Sift flour, measure and add salt, soda, and baking powder. Sift again. |
| 4 | Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture and beat until well blended. |
| 5 | The add chopped gumdrops, grated coconut, rolled oats and corn flakes. |
| 6 | Blend into dough. |
| 7 | Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 F. for 15 minutes. |
