Gumdrop Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg 1 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup gumdrops, chopped
1 cup rolled oats 1 cup corn flakes 1/2 cup grated coconut



1 Cream shortening and sugar together.
2 Add egg and beat until fluffy.
3 Sift flour, measure and add salt, soda, and baking powder. Sift again.
4 Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture and beat until well blended.
5 The add chopped gumdrops, grated coconut, rolled oats and corn flakes.
6 Blend into dough.
7 Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 F. for 15 minutes.
