Yams and Apples

INGREDIENTS:
6 to 8 yams (large can) cook until tender 6 to 8 medium apples, sliced SAUCE: 1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt 4 tablespoons cornstarch 1/4 lb butter



1 Layer apples and sliced yams. End with apples on top.
2 Bring to boil 2 cups of water. Slowly pour over mixed dry ingredients. Cook until thick. Pour over apples and yams. Bake at 375 F. for 45 minutes.
