| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 5 lb chuck roast | 1/2 cup vegetable oil | 1 cup beer or ale |
| 2 Tbsp lemon juice | 2 cloves garlic, crushed | 3/4 tsp salt |
| 2 bay leaves | 1/2 tsp dry mustard | 1 tsp dried basil |
| 1 tsp dried oregano | ||
| 1 | Place steak in deep bowl. |
| 2 | Combine oil, beer, lemon juice, and seasonings. pour over steak. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. |
| 3 | Place roast in roasting pan. Baste with marinade. |
| 4 | Bake at 425 F. for 2-1/2 hours. Slice and serve. |
