| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 4 tsp baking soda | 2 cups dark raisins | 2 cups boiling water |
| 2 cups sugar | 4 Tbsp oil | 1/2 tsp salt |
| 4 cups flour | ||
| 1 | Combine baking soda, raisins, and boiling water in large bowl. Let sit overnight. |
| 2 | Add sugar, oil, salt, and flour to raisin mixture. |
| 3 | Divide dough between 3 greased and floured 1-lb coffee cans. |
| 4 | Bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 F. and bake and additional 30 minutes. |
| 5 | Remove from oven. Place cans on their sides for 10 minutes. Roll can to other side. Bread should slide out easily. |
