INGREDIENTS:
1-1/2 pounds ground meat 1-1/2 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (13 ounce) pineapple tidbits, drained 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 cup Sprite
1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons catsup 1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 teaspoon pepper 6 slices bacon



1 Throughly mix the meat, salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Shape into 6 patties and press 5 to 6 pineapple tidbits into each. Combine the garlic, Sprite, soy sauce, catsup, vinegar, and pepper. Place patties in glass dish and pour the sauce over the patties. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove the patties from the marinade. Wrap a bacon slice around each patty and secure with a wooden toothpick. Cook the patties on a rack in a broiler pan about 5 inches from the heat with the oven set on broil or 550 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. These can be cooked on a grill.
