| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, lightly packed | 2 teaspoons dry mustard | 2 tablespoons seasoned salt |
| 1/2 teaspoon pepper | 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish | 1 cup Coca-Cola |
| 1 cup water | 6 tablespoons lemon juice | 6 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce |
| 1/4 cup cider vinegar | 1/2 cup instant minced onion | 6 drops Tabasco sauce |
| 6 pounds spareribs | ||
| 1 | In a saucepan, blend the sugar, mustard, salt and pepper. Stir in the remaining ingredients to make a sauce. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 10 minutes. In a conventional oven, brown the ribs in a roasting pan at 350 degrees. |
| 2 | Pour off the fat and spoon the sauce over the ribs; cover tightly with foil and cook about 1 hour. |
| 3 | Alternate method: Brown the ribs on both sides in a Dutch oven, heavy skillet, or saucepan. Pour off the fat and pour the sauce over the ribs. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1-1/2 hours. Baste and turn the ribs often. |
