| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 onion, finely chopped | 1 slice streaky bacon, chopped | liver of the hare, finely chopped |
| 3 tablespoons cooking oil | 1 tablespoon chopped suet or margarine | 2 teaspoons chopped parsley |
| 1 tablespoon chopped marjoram or thyme | 6 tablespoons fresh brown breadcrumbs | 2 eggs, beaten |
| salt and freshly ground black pepper | cooking oil for deep-frying | |
| 1 | Heat the oil and fry the chopped onion, bacon and liver together until they are soft, then add 4 tablespoons of the breadcrumbs together with the remaining ingredients and bind them with the half the beaten eggs. Shape into balls. Dip the balls in the remaining egg and breadcrumbs before frying in the deep fat until golden brown. |
