| 14 pounds ripe tomatoes | 10 or 12 green peppers | 2 small hot peppers |
| 6 large onions | 1/2 cup salt | 2 cups sugar |
| 5 cups vinegar | 2 teaspoons allspice | 2 teaspoons cinnamon |
| 2 teaspoons cloves | ||
| 1 | Scald tomatoes and remove skins. Finely chop peppers and skinned onions. Put remaining ingredients in big pot and bring to boil. Add the vegetables and let simmer slowly about 3 hours. Bottle and seal. One and a half times the above makes 8 quarts. |
