Chili Sauce

INGREDIENTS:
14 pounds ripe tomatoes 10 or 12 green peppers 2 small hot peppers
6 large onions 1/2 cup salt 2 cups sugar
5 cups vinegar 2 teaspoons allspice 2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons cloves



1 Scald tomatoes and remove skins. Finely chop peppers and skinned onions. Put remaining ingredients in big pot and bring to boil. Add the vegetables and let simmer slowly about 3 hours. Bottle and seal. One and a half times the above makes 8 quarts.
