Simple Syrup

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar 1 cup water



1 Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the sugar dissolves, about 4 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
2 Pour the syrup into a clean container and refrigerate until well chilled, 1 to 2 hours. (The syrup wil keep refrigerated in a airtight container for up to 2 weeks.)
