| 1-1/4 c rice | 1/2 tsp black pepper | 1 tsp crushed dried marjoram |
| 1 (4oz) can mushrooms, (stems and pieces), reserve liquid | water | 6 T butter |
| 1 (10-3/4 oz) can consomme | 1 cube beef bouillon | |
| 1 | Place rice, pepper, marjoram and mushrooms in baking dish. Add enough water to reserved mushroom liquid to equal 1 cup. Place in saucepan along with butter, consomme and bouillon cup and heat, stirring, until butter is melted. Pour over rice mixture. Stir. Bake, covered, at 350 30 minutes. Stir mixture. Cover and bake 20-30 minutes longer or until rice is tender. |
