Baked Apples

INGREDIENTS:
6 medium-size apples 3 teaspoons sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 small pieces lemon or orange peel 2 eggs, beaten 2 cups sweet milk
2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon flour 1 teaspoon rose water



1 Pare and core the apples. Place apples in a baking dish. Fill up each hole in the apples with 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, and a small piece of lemon or orange peel. Make a rich custard by cooking eggs and milk together slowly on low heat. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Stir to keep smooth consistency. Add rose water. Beat and pour over apples. Bake at 350 F. for 20 minutes. Serve with thick cream.
