| 6 medium-size apples | 3 teaspoons sugar | 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
| 6 small pieces lemon or orange peel | 2 eggs, beaten | 2 cups sweet milk |
| 2 tablespoons sugar | 1 tablespoon flour | 1 teaspoon rose water |
| 1 | Pare and core the apples. Place apples in a baking dish. Fill up each hole in the apples with 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, and a small piece of lemon or orange peel. Make a rich custard by cooking eggs and milk together slowly on low heat. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon flour. Stir to keep smooth consistency. Add rose water. Beat and pour over apples. Bake at 350 F. for 20 minutes. Serve with thick cream. |
