| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 tablespoon vegetable oil | 1/2 medium onion, chopped | 2 garlic cloves, crushed |
| 1 medium tomato, peeled and chopped | 1/2 teaspoon salt | 4 to 6 jalapeños, stemmed, seeded, and chopped |
| 1 | In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. |
| 2 | Add onion and saute until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds then stir in tomato and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Transfer to blender and add jalapeños. Process until pureed. Serve room temperature or chilled with lightly sauteed vegetables or chips. |
