Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce over Pasta |

| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 8oz. any variety pasta | 2 tablespoons olive oil or oil | 2 garlic cloves, minced |
| 2 lb. Italian plum tomatoes (about 14), coarsely chopped | 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves | 1/2 teaspoon salt |
| 1/8 teaspoon pepper | ||
| 1 | Cook pasta to desired doneness as directed on package. |
| 2 | Meanwhile, heat oil in large saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. Add garlic; cook 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until tomatoes are tender and sauce begins to thicken. |
| 3 | Drain pasta. Serve sauce over pasta. If a smoother sauce is desired, process half of sauce at a time in food processor or blender until smooth. |
